Old Autos/New Building & Home Maintenance
Current Status: Vertical masonry work is moving at a steady clip. The concrete block walls are reaching their design heights, providing a clear footprint of the interior layout.
Next Steps: Crews are currently installing anchor bolts and leveling plates in preparation for structural steel, which is slated to begin shortly. This transition will mark the shift from masonry to the building’s primary framing phase.
North Connector
Utility Integration: MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) teams are focused on complex interior connections, ensuring the connector is fully integrated with the existing building systems.
Finishes: The space is beginning to transform visually as prime painting is now underway. This provides a clean backdrop for the upcoming installation of final fixtures and trim.
Second Floor Science (Engineering & Robotics)
Floor Finishing: A major aesthetic milestone was reached this week—the polishing of the concrete floors in the Engineering & Robotics labs is complete, providing a high-durability, industrial finish.
Masonry & Utilities: With the concrete partitions now fully capped, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades are deep into the "rough-in" phase, running conduit and piping through the walls before they are sealed or painted.
Student Entrance
Foundations: The structural skeleton of the new entrance is officially out of the ground. The first phase of concrete footings has been poured and inspected.
Site Prep: To stabilize the area and prepare for the slab-on-grade, backfilling operations are scheduled to commence today. Expect increased heavy equipment activity near the main access point.
Note to Staff: Please maintain awareness of perimeter fencing adjustments near the Student Entrance as backfilling equipment moves on-site today.
