North Connector
Window installation in the North Connector is nearing completion, bringing the space fully enclosed and weather-tight. With this milestone nearly achieved, crews are preparing to transition to exterior finishes. Installation of the metal panel system is scheduled to begin in early February, which will further define the building’s exterior aesthetic and provide long-term durability.
Tech Ed Addition
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work in the Tech Ed addition is approaching completion, marking a significant step toward interior finish work. Floor grinding is scheduled to be completed next week to ensure proper surface preparation for upcoming finishes. The mezzanine concrete slab has been successfully poured and will support the new air handling unit designed to serve the addition, a key component in delivering appropriate ventilation and climate control for instructional spaces.
Third Floor Bathrooms
Painting in the third-floor restrooms is now complete, allowing the project to move into the next phase of finish work. Tile installation is scheduled to begin next week and will include both floor and wall surfaces, bringing the spaces closer to final completion and readiness for fixtures and accessories.
Second Floor Science
Installation of new piping within the second-floor science area is ongoing as part of the mechanical upgrades. In parallel, crews are preparing for the placement of new air handling units. Planning is underway to coordinate the system switch-over during spring break to minimize instructional disruption while ensuring a smooth transition to the upgraded HVAC systems.
